About the Role
We’re looking for an intern for the summer - someone who’s chronically online in the best way, with a nuanced understanding of digital culture, our brand and how we would like to show up in the world.
Our Summer Intern will support the creation and curation of content across our social platforms (our website, Instagram and TikTok). Additionally, they will assist in the production of our events. We’d like you to bring a fresh perspective to the way we share our work.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day content creation for Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter (X)
Curate visuals, write compelling captions, and schedule posts
Help build and maintain our content calendar
Assist in documenting events and studio life (virtually or IRL if in Toronto)
Assist in the production of our events
Engage with our community through comments, DMs, and cross-platform dialogue
Offer creative input on how we can stretch our presence and deepen connection
Who You Are
You’re passionate about art, culture, and building community through stories
You’re deeply online — but intentional about it. You know the difference between a trend and a moment
You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
You have relevant experience working in social media management or digital marketing (formal or otherwise)
You have a great eye for visual storytelling and design (bonus if you dabble in Canva or Adobe Suite)
You write with clarity, care, and personality
You’re someone of African or Caribbean descent
